
Sam Tordoff topped both morning and afternoon sessions of official BTCC season launch test day.
The Cobra Sport AmD driver topped the session with the independently entered Honda Civic Type-R FK2, setting 47.927s around the Indy Circuit.
Tordoff beat Tom Chilton to get the top spot at end of the day, after BMW's Andrew Jordan slotted into second place during the 3-hour morning session.
Chilton was just 0.016s quicker than Dan Cammish, who finished third in his Honda Civic for Halfords Yuasa Racing.
Andrew Jordan, who set the second quickest laptime early in the day, ultimately came home 4th at the end of day in the new BMW 330i, which will make it's debut on the same track at season opener race.
Tordoff's teammate Rory Butcher was fifth fastest, ahead of the brand new Toyota Corolla GT of Tom Ingram.
After a set of quick laps in morning session but not quite on the pace in afternoon, the two BMWs of Collin Turkington and Stephen Jelley rounded up top eight positions, with Jelley being in the older BMW 125i.
The quickest of the rookies was Dan Rowbottom in 22nd, ahead of Nicolas Hamilton and former F1 star Mark Blundell.

2017 BTCC champion Ashley Sutton finished 19th, ahead of Jason Plato.
Only Carl Broadley didn't set a time due to transponder issue with his car, although getting out on track briefly.
