Kyalami will host a FIA World Championship for the first time since 1993 in 2021, as part of World Endurance Championship calendar.

FIA World Endurance Championship will make it's debut in South Africa as Kyalami is confirmed on 2020-21 calendar along with Monza.

The two venues from now-defunct World Sportscar Championship were confirmed today by FIA while revealing the 2020-21 schedule.

Kyalami last hosted a FIA World Championship race in 1993 for Grand Prix cars, while World Sportscar Championship last raced on the Midrand track in 1984, the distance being 1000km.

The track saw return of international endurance racing last month, as part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge finale.

Monza meanwhile, will now see two endurance races held by ACO, as 6 Hours of Monza will take place five months after the European Le Mans Series 4 Hours of Monza.

With Kyalami and Monza taking place, Shanghai sees exit on Season 9 calendar after holding a race every season since 2012.

Fuji will take up the slot provided by Shanghai's exit, as the Japanese race moves to a later date next season.

The pre-season test will take place on August 31 to September 1, a week ahead of the season-opener in Silverstone as originally stated by FIA due to teams' concerns.

Meanwhile, 8 hours of Bahrain, 1000 miles of Sebring, 6 Hours of Spa and 24 Hours of Le Mans return while Silverstone returns to 6 hours of racing to kick off the season.

The calendar remains provisional, until approved by FIA World Motor Sports Council meeting on March 6 in Geneva.
