Tim Slade will join his Supercars rival Chaz Mostert in the Ferrari at Laguna Seca later this month, as part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.

The Australian driver will retain as HubAuto Corsa driver for California 8 Hours, driving the Ferrari 488 GT3 alongside Ferrari's factory GT3 driver Miguel Molina and Nick Foster, HubAuto Corsa's regular driver.

"Bathurst and Laguna are the only two rounds that don't clash for me," Slade told Supercars.com.

"It looked from the original dates that Kyalami was a free weekend for me but that's changed so that's out of the question.

"It would have been awesome to get some more in, but that's the way it's way it's panned out."

The Asian team also competes in Blancpain GT Series Asia, where Slade raced last year for the team and returned for the opening round of Intercontinental GT at Bathurst 12 Hour.

He won't be the only Supercars driver, as Tickford Racing's Chaz Mostert will also race at the American track.

"The Ferrari's always a fun car to drive, no matter where you are," he said.

"To go over to Laguna for the next race is going to be pretty cool.

"It's one of those bucket-list tracks, almost, one of those places that on the PlayStation as a kid growing up, there was always some Laguna sessions.

"To be able to go over there and do the real thing's going to be a cool opportunity."

2019 California 9 Hours will be held from 28th-30th March at Laguna Seca.
