A new team will enter it's Ferrari 488 GT3 in Endurance Cup for 2019 Blancpain GT Series.

The team will field a Pro-Am class car with Christopher Froggatt, Chris Buncombe and Jonathan Hui joining the driver's lineup, competing in all 5 races throughout the season including 24 Hours of Spa.

Froggat and Buncombe raced together last year in FIA GT Nations Cup in Bahrain, finishing second in the race with Jonathan Hui completing the lineup.

The squad gets support from Scuderia Corsa with which Buncombe and Froggat competed in FIA GT Nations last year.

The team also announced it's plan to race in International GT Open Series where Froggat joins WEC's GTE-Am Ferrari driver Eddie Cheever III.

“I’m really looking forward to this busy season of racing ahead. It will be my first step into longer endurance races and will certainly provide new challenges. I’ve known all my teammates for a little while now and am pleased with the line ups that we have pulled together," said Froggat, who will act as Pro driver.

Pro-Am class defending champion Chris Buncombe said:

“I had a taste of the 488 when I joined Chris for the FIA GT Nations Cup races in Bahrain at the end of last year.

"It’s a fantastic car and I can’t wait to get back on track in it! I love the racing in the Blancpain GT Series and we’ll do what we can to challenge for the Pro-Am title again.”

Jonathan Hui comes as a newcomer alongside Froggat but is confident:

“I have been waiting a long time for the right opportunity to enter the Endurance Cup and couldn’t have asked for a better team and driver line up to pair with."

“All my focus in the past few years have been in endurance races and I’m hopeful those experiences will bring a positive contribution towards Tempesta Racing’s 2019 campaign.”

The team will hit track for the first time on 13th March for pre-season testing at Circuit Paul Ricard, before racing on Monza in April.
