Lotterer's teammate Neel Jani meanwhile, had another fruitless session of the weekend, as the Swiss driver handled Porsche to only 19th place, 1.3s shy of the pole time.
Update: Both Vergne and Evans are penalised following qualifying. Vergne's car required battery change and will receive 20 place grid penalty as well as 10-seconds stop go penalty during the race while Evans will drop from 4th to 6th following minimum weight regulation breach. Evans got a reprimand that promotes D'Ambrosio and Da Costa by a place.
The final race of the weekend at Diriyah will start at 03:04 pm local time.
