
The Second Day of Roar before The 24 was dominated by Jonathan Bomarito in the Mazda Joest Team as the night came.
Quicker Laptimes than before as Harry Ticknell closes in on record
The cars stunned the crowd, setting laptimes quicker than last year, that shows the car will make new lap records this year.
Harry Ticknell made one of the highlights, as he set quickest time of the day, 1:34.925, just a second off of the track record set by PJ Jones in 1993 with Toyota Eagle Mark III.

Meanwhile Fernando Alonso came second with WTR, putting the #10 Cadillac by 1:35.02. The #77 Joest Mazda rounded off the Top 3.
As the session progressed, Juncos Racing team crashed with Starworks Audi R8, which left the teams to work on their cars before the 4th session started.
In the 4-car LMP2 class, PR1 ORECA topped again with 1:36.643 by Matt McMurry.
Mathieu Jaminet topped GTLM class with #912 Porsche 911 RSR, just 0.007s quicker than #3 Corvette driven by Antonio Garcia.
The GTD class' fastest time was set by Black Swan Racing with a laptime of 1:45.919 by Matteo Cairoli, a narrow 0.026 quicker than #96 Acura NSX.
Van Der Zande tops the 2nd Session of the Day
Wayne Taylor Racing's Renger Van Der Zande tops the 4th session of testing and second of the Saturday by a quick 1:34.534, getting even closer to the record set by Toyota Eagle.
Acura and Action Express were second and third quickest as Ricky Taylor beat Mik Conway by three-tenths. The Joest Mazdas were 5th and 10th after limited running.
The DragonSpeed car topped the LMP2 class for the first time all weekend with 1:36.553 by Nicolas Lapierre in #81 car. The #52 PR1 ORECA and #18 DragonSpeed making it to Top 3.
GTLM class saw two different marques in Top 4, as the white-livery Ford #67 topped the class with 1:43.148 by Scott Dixon. Patrick Pilet was second with #911 Porsche. The #66 and #912 were third and fourth respectively.
Trent Hindman was quickest in GTD Class with 1:45.533 in MSR Acura, eighth-tenths ahead of the #57 sister Acura with all-female line-up.
A notable crash during the session saw the #51 Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 hitting the barriers just few minutes before the session ended as the session was red flagged.

#57 MSR quickest in GTD Quali, P1 Mercedes Disqualified
The 15-minute session on Saturday was held for the GTD class to qualify for the garage allocation for the race week in Daytona.
P1 Motorsports topped the session early on with 1:46.406 by Dominik Baumann, but there was confusion all around the paddock as the session was reserved for only Bronze and Silver rated drivers but Dominik Baumann was Gold.
The #57 Meyer Shanks car was second, but was promoted to 2nd as Baumann was disqualified, Ana Beatriz setting 1:45.537 in the #57.
After the deletion of P1's laptime, #12 Lexus of Frankie Monteclavo was second, just 0.050 second off from securing the best garage.
The sister MSR Acura was third, #33 Riley Motorsports finished fourth and #63 Scuderia Corsa 488 completed Top 5.
The Spirit of Race Ferrari just completed two laps after suffering a crash in 4th session.
Mazda tops again in the Final Session
Jonathan Bomarito set the fastest lap of the day in the night session, the American driver edging a close margin of 0.001 with #55 Mazda off the #10 Cadillac time set by Van Der Zande during the day.
Pipo Derani was 2nd quickest in #31 Action Express Cadillac, managing 1:35.179 and got sandwiched between the Mazda DPis.
#52 PR1 ORECA lead the LMP2 class with 1:36.990 by Gabriel Aubry. DragonSpeed ORECA of Ben Hanley was second fastest ahead of Performance Tech in third place.
#18 DragonSpeed ORECA was last in Prototype 2 class, 1.7 seconds off the leader.
Porsche GT lead the GTLM class, as #911 finished ahead of #912. Nick Tandy set the 1:43.402 lap in the #911.
#13 Ferrari 488 GT3 was quickest in GTD, setting 1:45.842 by Victor Franzoni. #71 P1 Motorsports finished 2nd, two-tenths off the leader. #57 Meyer Shanks NSX ended third in the night session.
The last day of the Roar will start tomorrow as all classes will test but GTD.
