The Yamaha Petronas Sepang Racing Team pulled the covers off their 5 bikes for 2019 at Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, including the Moto2 and Moto3 bikes of Khairul Idham Pawi and Ayumu Sasaki.
Speaking of 2019 season for the SIC Racing that joined forces with Angel Nieto team to field the 2 Yamahas, Team Principal and CEO Sepang Circuit Razlan Razali said:
“The launch of the team marks our intention as a serious contender in the new 2019 MotoGP season.
"It has been an unbelievable journey so far and the excitement continues. This launch is for all Malaysian fans whom have been supporting Malaysian MotoGP since 1991.
"We have come a long way and evolved to this point because of the success of Malaysia MotoGP, " he said.
The new team, called as Yamaha Sepang Racing Team, is a merger of Angel Nieto Racing Team, replacing Tech 3 as the satellite Yamaha team as Tech 3 switched to Ducati after 20-year relationship with Yamaha.

The two Yamaha YZR-M1 bikes will be ridden by Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo, both being young drivers.
With 2019 season approaching quick, Yamaha is looking forward to get it's 15th MotoGP constructors' title. With strong competitors like Honda and Ducati, 2019 will be another great season between the constructors, the teams and drivers alike.
2019 MotoGP season kicks off on 10th March with Grand Prix of Qatar.
