#107 Bentley Continental GT3 topped the session with Jordan Pepper behind the wheel.

The #107 Bentley Continental GT3 topped the first free practice session of the weekend at Silverstone for round 2 of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup.

Jordan Pepper set the pace during the 90-minute session to set a 2:00.009s for team MSport, just five one-hundredths of a second quicker than the second placed car of Andrea Bertolini.

The second placed Italian set a best time of 2:00.058s in #52 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 to become the quickest driver in the Pro-Am category.

Third overall was the second quickest driver from Silver category, as Charlie Eastwood took his #97 Oman Racing with TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage GT3 ahead of the second Ferrari of Miguel Molina.

The Pro lineup of SMP Racing Ferrari was good enough to put the car up to fourth place in the 488 GT3.

Steijn Schothorst finished fifth overall in the #55 Attempto Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo that he will share with his brother Pieter Schothorst.

In Am category, #33 Rinaldi Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 topped the timesheets after showing incredible pace and speed. The car will be shared between Steve Parrow, Christian Hook and Manuel Lauck this weekend in the 3-Hour race.

Several red-flag periods disrupted the session, with the first being the #9 Boutsen Ginion BMW M6 GT3 as the car stopped at Turn 6, bringing red flags for a brief period as the car got underway again quickly.

#74 RAM Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 was the second car to trigger red flags in the session at Turn 1 as the car crashed into the barriers at Corpse.

Finally, with just moments before the chequered flag, red flag was shown as the session ended prematurely.

A second pre-qualifying practice session will get underway at 3:40 pm local time.
