Marc Marquez was fastest in final practice session, but his fastest lap to be counted towards qualifying was still the lap record he set yesterday in second practice

Marc Marquez retained his practice lead as his Honda teammate Jorge Lorenzo suffered a high side crash and ended his Free Practice 3 running.

Marquez had a 1:53.380s from FP2, enough for the reigning champion to have a fastest time on the combined timesheet while also topping third practice session. Francesco Bagnaia was second fastest in FP3, setting his best lap on MotoGP debut with Alma Pramac.

Pol Espargaro was the other rider to improve his time before the Q1, but failed to made it to Top 10 in combined classification.

Jorge Lorenzo had a nasty high side at Turn 6 during his flying lap, jumping into the air and retiring from the session.

The Repsol Honda driver head to medical centre for further checkup but is reported to have escaped major injuries.

Alex Rins then made it to top spot, setting 1:55.142s till very end of the session until Marquez beat him to top with less than 5 minutes remaining after a low-slide early in the session for the Spaniards.

Rossi finished fourth behind Bagnaia and Espargaro, trying to get a quick lap but failed to do so and headed to Q1. Takaaki Nakagami finished 5th ahead of Rins who crashed in the session.

Franco Morbidelli was 7th, ahead of Yamaha's Maverick Vinales, Johann Zarco and Miguel Oliveira to complete Top 10.
