Federation Internationale de Motorcyclisme (FIM) gave it's verdict today on controversial rear winglet, deeming the device as legal and announcing Dovizioso's Qatar win as final.
The hearing of the case took place in FIM Court of Appeals last Friday in Switzerland, though the final statement was not declared till Tuesday.
Following the Qatar protest which saw Danilo Petrucci using the winglet and then Andrea Dovizioso using the same winglet on his bike during the race, as well as Jack Miller, the manufacturers protested immediately after the race, with only Yamaha not speaking against them.
FIM Technical Director Danny Aldridge declared the device legal at the time and cleared Ducati and Dovizioso of the victory, as the manufacturers reached out to FIM Court of Appeals.
The official statement released by the court states:
"Following a hearing in Mies on Friday 22 March, the MotoGP Court of Appeal handed down its decision today 26 March and the parties (the four appellants, Ducati and the FIM) have been duly notified. On these grounds, the MotoGP Court of Appeal rules that:
"The appeals filed by Team Aprilia, Team Suzuki, Team Honda and Team KTM are admissible.

"The provisional race results are confirmed and are declared as final.
"The request to declare the Device illegal and ban its use in future races is rejected."
All the teams and manufacturers' only option left now is to file an appeal against FIM's verdict to Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) in five days.
