Tim Pappas suffered a massive crash at The Chase in Friday's Free Practice 2 for Bathurst 12 Hour in #540 Black Swan Porsche 911 GT3 R

Pappas, also the team owner, lost control of his car at the fast part of the track "Chase" before hitting the barriers and the car catching fire.

Pappas was in his car as the car caught fire, with the driver still in car. Safety crew arrived minutes later and took a lot of time to rescue him. The session was red-flagged.

The driver is conscious but admitted to hospital for further investigation.

It's unclear of who will drive for the Black Swan Team and if there is a replacement car to continue racing.

2 other incidents came early in the morning at Mount Panorama, including the one between #51 Spirit of Race Ferrari of Paul Dalla Lana and #888 Mercedes of Shane van Gisbergen.
