
#21 DragonSpeed went quickest in the first practice session, ahead of this week's 4 Hours of Le Castellet on Circuit Paul Ricard to kick off the European Le Mans Series.
Ben Hanley set a laptime of 1:45.759s behind the wheel of #21 Oreca 07 Gibson LMP2 car, ahead of the RLR MSport rookie Arjun Maini with just 0.858s between them.
Former Formula 4 driver Job van Uitert, who made a quick move to LMP2 this year was third quickest in the Aurus backed ORECA with Antonin Borga (Cool Racing) and Anders Fjordbach (High Class Racing) completing top five in LMP2 class.
Memo Rojas made it sixth quickest, while the fastest of Ligier LMP2 cars ended up in 7th, led by #22 United Autosport of Paul di Resta, the reigning Asian Le Mans Series champion setting 1:42.288s.
Both Algarve Pro cars were out of Top 10, setting just 11th and 13th quickest laps while the #32 United Autosport was 14th.
Carlin Racing was the only team not to set a flying lap in the 90-minute session, with the only Dallara P217 ending up last.
In LMP3, #10 Oregon Racing set the pace with Norma M 30 as Damian Fioravanati set 1:50.092s with the Nissan powered car.
#9 Realteam Racing was second quickest as David Droux was just 0.782s shy of the leader, with Norma occupying a further 2 places to make it 5 Normas in top 7.
The #2 United Autosport was the quickest Ligier in LMP3, with Wayne Boyd setting 1:52.068s in the Ligier JS P3.
Porsche dominated the field in LMGTE class, making it a Porsche 1-2-3 with Matteo Cairoli setting the pace behind the wheel of #77 Dempsey-Proton Racing Porsche 911 RSR.
#88 Proton Competition Porsche was second quickest with Thomas Preining, while Jorg Bergmeister was third in the #56 Project 1. Behind the Porsche trio, Aaron Scott was eight tenths slower than leader in #55 Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.
Free Practice 2 is scheduled to kick off 9:00 am Local time on Saturday morning, with Michelin Le Mans Cup action following soon afterwards.
