7-times Bathurst 1000 winner and triple V8 Supercars Champion Craig Lowndes will join Mark Skaife and Jessica Yates for 2019.
The decision comes day after 2005 V8 Supercars Champion and Fox Sports' host Russell Ingall was fired, which received emotional reactions.
Lowndes will continue his role with Triple Eight Engineering as Pirtek Enduro Cup pro-driver according to Supercars website, providing exclusive insights from Red Bull Holden Racing Team Garage.
Lowndes retired from full-time racing commitments in 2018 and was touted to fill in a TV presenter slot for Supercars.
"I'm very excited about the season ahead and playing a very different role with the Fox Sports Motorsport team to what I've been familiar with in my driving career," Lowndes said.
"There will be both familiar and unfamiliar territory for me this year.
“We will get the band back together in some ways when I pair up with my old team-mate and friend Mark Skaife and I am looking forward to working with a fresh face in Jess Yates, who I'm sure will get the best out of me and I'll learn a lot from.

"I'm glad that I will still be close to the action and can be a part of this incredible series and look forward to bringing that to all the fans watching from home."
Ingall meanwhile, will no longer be part of the team, getting axed by Fox Sports. The "Enforcer" was surprised by immediate support and love from fans, with a supporter even petitioning for Ingall's return.
“Unfortunately there was only one role available which has meant Russell will not return in 2019," said Lowndes.
Ingall also claimed he has no hard feelings towards Craig:
“I have always gotten along well with Craig so that’s not going to change, that’s just business, he’s a popular character.”
2019 Supercars Championship will kick off at Adelaide Street Circuit on 2nd March.
