
Amid the news of absence of the ByKolles in next month's 1000-miles Sebring, the Austrian squad released first image of it's Hypercar concept for 2020, according to Endurance-Info.
No details are confirmed yet but Head of Operations Manfredi Ravetto has explained the objectives for it's programme:
"We have full confidence in the hypercar concept, and with this commitment, FIA and ACO will achieve their goals because the future of the resistance goes through a platform like this, in which the independent teams can become builders, we will have two prototypes, although always with the idea of continuing the commitment with our LMP1 one more season.
"We handle different options for the name of the prototype , since we are in negotiations with several brands As for the motorization, different possibilities are being studied and we are open to any of them ".
With the announcement, ByKolles is now the first and only independent to commit itself to Hypercar regulations, although Glickenhaus confirmed their Hypercar programme in future. Other than the two, various other manufacturers like Toyota and Ferrari have hinted on the possibility of developing a Hypercar.
