TRACK CONDITIONS
A clear sky above the drivers at the Sakhir Circuit in Bahrain. The track was colder than FP1 with a temperature of 31°C and air temperature dropping to 24°C. Track much more gripper compared to FP1 with less dust.
REPORT
Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari set the fastest lap of 1m28.846s on C3 tyres. He was faster than his teammate Charles Leclerc in FP2 compared to FP1. Despite running wide coming out of T15, Sebastian managed to beat his teammate’s lap time a set a new time.

Charles Leclerc of Scuderia Ferrari was 2nd just three hundredths of a second behind Sebastian Vettel. Charles set a lap time of 1m28.881s.
5-times world champion Lewis Hamilton was 3rd this time in FP2 for Mercedes. He set a lap time of 1m29.449s on C3 tyres.

Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes was 4th in FP1 despite finishing 3rd in FP1. He set a lap time of 1m.29.557s, just one-tenth behind his teammate.
Nico Hulkenberg was best of the rest as he finished 5th behind Valtteri Bottas. A 1m29.669s was the lap time Nico set.

Kimi Raikkonen was the only driver to set a lap time on C2 tyres. He did a lap time of 1m31.088s and managed to finish 16th at the end of FP2.
Williams were the slowest of all, despite using C3 to set their fastest laps, George Russell and Robert Kubica finished 19th and 20th, they both were 3 seconds and 4 seconds slower than Sebastian’s lap time respectively.

FP2 saw less spins compared to FP1. Kimi Raikkonen span on his outlap at the exit of turn 2. He was on cold tyres. So did his former teammate, Sebastian Vettel.
Romain Grosjean of Haas locked up a little while trying to set a lap time at turn 1.
Yellow flags were waved in sector 1 & 2 when a speedy Marshall picked up debris from the track.
Stroll spent some time in pit as he damaged his car’s floor after running over a kerb. He was back on the track after some time and 17th with a lap time of 1m31.129s.
