The 2018 challenger of Toro Rosso, STR13 was powered by a Honda engine.

Toro Rosso on Saturday, released a sound clip of a roaring 2019 Honda engine as it was brought to life for the first time.

Toro Rosso will be unveiling its STR14 to the media and fans alike, on February 11th, the same day as Williams will launch its own car.

Honda will be supplying engines not only to Toro Rosso, but its sister team, Red Bull too. Honda previously had to endure a disastrous partnership with McLaren for three years. Once McLaren announced a switch to Renault power, Toro Rosso signed a deal for an engine supply with the Japanese marque.

The Faenza based Italian team had to go through a season marred with unreliability last year, as the Honda engine often failed during the races. Honda had made some considerable progress in terms of pace though, with the best race finish being a 4th place secured by Pierre Gasly in Bahrain.

Besides, Red Bull seniors Helmut Marko and Christian Horner, have been making tall claims regarding the progress made by Honda, it will only be proved wither right or wrong, once both Red Bull and Toro Rosso hit the track in pre-season testing in Barcelona.
