The new entered F1 team unveiled their car today in Toronto. It’s the successor of the 2018’s Force India VJM11. Racing Point also announced SportPesa as their title sponsor and now the team will be called SportPesa Racing Point F1 Team.

SportPesa Racing Point’s originated from Jordan F1 team. The team’s previous names were Midland F1 Racing, Spyker F1, Force India and Force India Racing Point.
At the team's season launch in Canada, Otmar Szafnauer explained: "We've all come to the conclusion to that basically we're a team of racers and there's nothing wrong with Racing Point and it encompasses who we are."
"We thought it was an appropriate name, let's make it wonderful and let's take that name and give it some history and time and some heritage."
"Racing Point is what we got to"
"I think it's appropriate and thanks to our new title partner SportPesa they are part of the name too."
Despite Racing Point signing a detail with SportPesa, the team is still in BWT colours. BWT signed a deal with Force India in 2017, and it is due to that, Racing Point carries pink color prominently in its livery.
Racing Point signed a deal with three new sponsors: JCB from England; Telemax from Mexico and Bombardier from Canada.
He further continued saying: “We started off with Racing Point as our company name and we took the time from August until now to discuss and deliberate what the name should be.
“The name, it took us a while,”
“And we’ve all come to the conclusion that basically we’re a term of racers and there’s nothing wrong with – and actually it encompasses who we are – Racing Point.
"We all talked together and though that’s an appropriate name, let’s make it wonderful.
"Let’s take that name and give it some history and also give it some heritage with us being racers and ultimately winners.” he said.
The 2019 line-up consists of the 29-Year-old Mexican, Sergio Perez and 20-year-old Canadian, Lance Stroll. Sergio Perez had an amazing 2018, he got a podium at the 2018 Azerbaijan GP whereas Stroll had a poor season with Williams Racing.
Racing Point had a controversial 2018 season, they went into administration and the team had to change its name mid-season. At the 2018 Belgian GP the team entered as a British team instead of an Indian. Despite having zero points at the Belgian GP, the team managed to finish 7th at the end of the 2018 season.
Force India managed to get 59 points before they had to change their name and Racing Point Force India got 52 points. The team managed to one podium and 13 points finish in 2018.
The team will be looking to compete against the likes of Renault and Haas in 2019. The team will be looking forward to secure 4th place in constructors’ standings.

Haas, Toro Rosso, Williams, Renault, Mercedes and Red Bull have all launched their liveries or cars so far. McLaren has already fired up their engine and will be revealing their car tomorrow.
