Charles Leclerc will be driving alongside Vettel at Ferrari in 2019.

Charles Leclerc's manager, Nicolas Todt says that the young Monegasque must not be "impatient" while competing against Sebastian Vettel.

Charles Leclerc will be joining the four time German world champion at Ferrari for the 2019 F1 season. His vacated seat at Sauber will be filled by the ace Finn, Kimi Raikkonen.

Todt commented: "[Leclerc] has never been on the podium yet because he did not have a car to do it."

"The mistake that Charles must not commit is to be impatient"

Nicolas Todt is the son of former Ferrari CEO and current FIA President, Jean Todt. Nicolas, who is a well known driver manager, currently manages Charles Leclerc and Mick Schumacher.

"He is only 21 and will have to handle the disappointment of defeat, which he feels even if he is second.

"Charles always sets himself very high goals, but it will not be a problem for him," added Todt.

Charles is the graduate of the Ferrari drivers' academy and raced for Sauber in 2018. Leclerc was already rated as a highly talented driver with an exceptional junior record that includes a Formula 2 title in 2017.

Talking to Italy's Corriero dello Sport, Nicolas further stated: "Ferrari understood that it was worth investing in young people and today they are beginning to reap the rewards,"

"After Leclerc, Kvyat and Massa I will most likely play a role with Mick too,"

"Mick at Ferrari is a special story. Ask anyone in the world who Schumacher is and they can answer, and if you match that name with the word Ferrari, it's something really special." he said.

"He will have to build his future himself."

"Mick in F1 would be extraordinary not only for his family, but for sport, for Ferrari, for the fans,"

"Because of the affection for Michael, this amplifies expectations but the name does not make him fast." concluded Todt.

It ultimately became inevitable for Ferrari leadership to promote Charles to Ferrari alongside a highly experienced, Sebastian Vettel. Given how highly Leclerc is rated, a lot of analysts and fans believe that the Monegasque will give Vettel a truly hard time.
