Mick Schumacher will be testing for both Alfa Romeo as well as Ferrari in Bahrain, as the Formula 2 driver will get to drive a modern F1 car for the first time in his career.
Mick Schumacher won the European F3 title in 2018, and signed with Prema to compete in the 2019 Formula 2 season, just a step short of F1.
He will be third name from Schumacher family to race in F1, following the footsteps of his father Michael and his uncle Ralf Schumacher.
Mick Schumacher also drove a Benetton B195 at Spa in 2017, with which Michael Schumacher won his 2nd championship.
The reigning Formula 3 champon was signed by Ferrari Development Academy earlier this year.
With his role as development driver, he will be testing Ferrari SF90 on April 2 before getting in the Alfa Romeo car on April 3 for in-season tests at Bahrain.
"I am obviously more than excited and would like to thank Ferrari for giving me this opportunity," the young Schumacher said.
"I am really looking forward to what I'm sure will be a great experience."

Sebastian Vettel will be the second driver to test the car while young Callum Ilott will test the car at Spain during midseason tests.
"We are firm believers in the value of the Ferrari Driver Academy, as a high level training program for talented youngsters," said Team Principal Mattia Binotto.
"We are therefore very pleased to be able to give Mick and Callum the opportunity to experience driving a Formula 1 car.

"Mick, who joined the FDA in January, and Callum, who has been with us since 2017, are definitely drivers on their way up and I believe that driving the SF90 in an official setting such as the tests in Bahrain and Barcelona can be very useful at this stage in their career."
Callum Ilott finished third in last year's GP3 series and is with Ferrari since 2017. His rivals Tatiana Calderon and Juan Manuel Correa will join him in development roles at the teams.
