Mercedes-Benz revealed their FE at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Mercedes will call it the EQ Silver Arrow 01 and will use it to compete in 2019/20 Formula E season.

Mercedes used their current F1 livery with a bit dark touch and no sea green color from Petronas to present at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
Mercedes in 2017 announced that they will join Formula E but as HWA instead of using Mercedes. HWA Team is famous for entering in DTM with Mercedes name and they also running in the 2018/19 season of Formula E. HWA’s current line up consist of their reigning World Champion, Gary Paffet and Ex-McLaren driver, Stoffel Vandoorne, who is famous for being out-qualified by Fernando Alonso in 2018 F1 Season.
Mercedes-Benz left DTM last year to focus on Formula E. They were the reigning Drivers’ and Constructors’ Champion in 2018. While the name HWA won’t exist in 2019/20 season, they will still run Mercedes’ trackside operations.

Mercedes-Benz announced about Formula E on their new Twitter Account.
The EQ Silver Arrow 01 chassis isn’t made by Mercedes. In FE, the chassis of the car is made by Spark and Dallara. Atieva builds the 52kWh battery pack using Sony cells, and it was integrated by McLaren. The car produces 340hp and can reach a speed of 280 km/h. It can do 0-100 in 2.8 seconds and weighs up to 907 kilos.
But automakers are allowed to make their own powertrain including gearbox, electric motor and inverter-basically anything that connects to the battery. And budget shouldn’t be a problem for a team like Mercedes, Mercedes spent more than 500 Million Dollars in 2018 to win WDC and WCC in Formula 1.

Mercedes isn’t the first German manufacturer to enter FE. Audi was the first team to enter FE in 2014. Followed by BMW in 2018, who won their first race in Saudi Arabia. Porsche and Mercedes will be the 3rd and 4th manufacturer to enter the league respectively.
