According to the latest news circulating in the Italian media, the current Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari, Maurizio Arrivabene is expected to be replaced with Mattia Binotto.

Ferrari had to go through a very tough season in 2018 where it had a 4 times world champion as lead driver and a car to beat for much of the season. Yet strategic errors in qualifying and race as well as driver errors for Sebastian Vettel proved to be costly. Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes heavily capitalized on the woes of the Maranello squad and as a result, wrapped up both the drivers' and constructors' championships.
It was pretty obvious that the highly passionate Tifosi will go after Maurizio Arrivabene with bulks of criticism and a demand of his removal from the current role.
According to a news in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ferrari president, John Elkann has already decided to appoint Mattia Binotto as the head of the F1 team. Maurizio Arrivabene assumed his current role back in 2015 and oversaw some major reshuffling within the team over the years.
Last year, it was rumored and reported that Arrivabene was being sacked from Ferrari and that he would take up the role of the Juventes CEO after the position was vacant. There were also rumors that Binotto, who currently serves as the Chief Technical Officer at Scuderia Ferrari, would join the rivals Mercedes, replacing James Allison. Maurizio although brushed the rumors of his sacking and confirmed that he would retain his position.
