McLaren has announced that the Swedish chocolate maker, Husky Chocolate has signed a multi-year deal for an F1 partnership.

In a statement published by the official McLaren website, the team announced the new partnership ahead of the 2019 F1 season. McLaren CEO, Zak Brown announced that,

"We're pleased to have Huski Chocolate on-board with our team"

Huski Chocolate seems to be a major sponsor of the team, given that it will appear on the rear wing on the MCL34. The branding will also be prominent on the drivers' racing overalls as well as the outfits of other team personnel.

It has also been announced that with this sponsorship, Huski hot and cold drinks will be served at the MTC in Woking, in the garage during the races and at all the events across the globe.

Zak Brown further commented, “We’re pleased to have Huski Chocolate on-board with our team and support the company in their ambitious plans by introducing them to our global sport."

"I look forward to enjoying a drink together at track, and sharing our adventure with our new partners.”

The Chairman of Huski Chocolate, Mr. Fredrik von Essen communicated that,

“Huski Chocolate has always been about lifestyle and adventure,

It is already understood that McLaren will have a major sponsorship by soft drinks brand, Coca-Cola, for the 2019 season. But with the announcement that Huski will be featured on the rear wing of the 2019 car, it can be considered that more high profile brands might sponsor McLaren in the upcoming months.

Von Essen continued stating, "So what better platform to support our further expansion than the unique lifestyle of Formula 1."

"After we met with McLaren at the team’s headquarters in the UK, we were convinced that they were the right partner to help us market our new unique cold chocolate drink worldwide.” commented Von Essen.

It's worth mentioning that after the resignation of Eric Boullier and departure of both Fernando Alonso as well as Stoffel Vandoorne, McLaren will have to prove that the team changes are justified. Besides, the transition year from Honda to Renault is already over.

McLaren will launch its 2019 challenger, MCL34, on February 14th. Entering a second year with Renault as the power supplier, McLaren now looks forward to achieving better results and finish the 2019 season on a high note.
