
It was a bit wet at the start of FP1 in Mexico with drivers using Inters to do practice lap around the 4.3 KM circuit.
Lewis Hamilton was the fastest driver with a 1m 17.327s on softs. Lewis was ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc who set a lap time of 1m 17.446s on mediums.
It was Red Bull who finished the session in 3rd and 4th with Max Verstappen being ahead of his teammate Alex Albon. Max set a lap time of 1m 17.461s on softs meanwhile Alex set a lap time of 1m 17.949s on softs as well.
Hamilton’s title rival Valtteri Bottas was 5th ahead of Vettel. Bottas set the lap time on softs meanwhile Vettel set the lap time on mediums.

McLaren’s Carlos Sainz was best of the rest, he continues to impress everyone with his phenomenal driving this season. He was 1 second behind Lewis Hamilton on softs.
FP1 was chaotic with Racing Point’s Lance Stroll crashing at turn 16 and hitting the barriers to bring a red flag mid-session.

Verstappen wasn’t happy with Sebastian Vettel blocking him during FP1. The Dutch complained on the radio stating,
“What a mess... Sebastian... what the f*** is he doing? Everyone is waiting and he wants to go by."
It was Nicholas Latifi (F2 Driver) who replaced Kubica for FP1. He was the first driver to come out on slick tyres.
Giovinazzi was seen driving the car with flow-vis paint on inters.
With FP2 still to take place, Hamilton has a chance to win the title here, or will Valterri Bottas stop him from doing so?
