Charles Fastest in Mexico’s FP3

The session started in damp conditions with cars running Inters at the start of the FP3. When 15 minutes were left in the session, cars were seen with slicks.

It was Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc who was fastest at the end of final practice in Mexico. The Ferrari driver set a lap time of 1m 16.145s on softs. With Sebastian Vettel being 2nd. He was two-hundredths of a second behind his teammate with a lap time of 1m 16.172s on softs as well.


Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas was in 3rd on softs with championship leader Lewis Hamilton in 4th on softs as well.

It was Carlos Sainz who finished in 5th at the end of FP3, the Spaniard was ahead of the two Red Bulls.


The two Renault’s of Daniel Riccardo and Nico Hulkenberg didn’t set a lap time and finished P19 and P20 respectively.


With rain predicated in Qualifying, things can turn around and we might not see a Ferrari front-row lockout.
