The American driver, who currently races in Formula 2, has been signed as a Development Driver for the Alfa Romeo team.

Frederic Vasseur, Team Principal of Alfa Romeo commented: “Juan Manuel will be taking on a new challenge with our team as our development driver,"
"And we look forward to further advancing his skills in support of his progress as a racing driver.”
Alfa Romeo had earlier this month, renewed the partnership with Colombian driver, Tatiana Calderon, who currently serves in the capacity of a Test Driver, alongside Marcus Ericsson.
Marcus Ericsson raced for the Sauber F1 team from 2015 to 2018, and had earlier marked his debut with Caterham in 2014. The Swedish driver now races for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports in IndyCar series.
Juan Manuel Correra added: “To have received this opportunity, and to be a part of such an iconic team and brand in motorsports, Formula 1 in particular, is a privilege for any driver,”

As part of his assignment in the role of a development driver with Alfa Romeo, Correra will perform his duties in the team's simulator and assist Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi.
