47 cars are confirmed for the Roar before Rolex 24, the pre-season testing before the opening round of IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship at Daytona, with 37 of them being confirmed as full-season entrants.

IMSA released the official entry list on their website on Friday for the mandatory pre-season test from January 4th-January 6th.

As every team needs to complete the pre-season testing before Rolex 24, therefore no more entries are expected. This is a great decrease of entrants for one of most iconic endurance racing, as ESM Racing and Spirit of Daytona didn't join the list.

The list features only team names for now, with the full driver line-ups being announced on 2nd January.

11 DPi (Daytona Prototype international) cars will battle against each other for overall wins, alongside four LMP2 (Le Mans Prototype 2) cars, including two DragonSpeed cars, confirmed now for only Daytona.

GTLM (Grand Touring Le Mans) includes nine entries from 5 different factory teams: Porsche GT Team, BMW Team RLL, Ford Chip Ganassi Racing, Corvette Racing and a single Ferrari 488 GTE of Risi Competizione.

Meanwhile, GTD (Grand Touring Daytona) class features 23 cars of 8 different manufacturers (note that GTLM are stronger and have better lineup than GTD, which has GT3-Spec car and Pro/Am, Am/Am lineup).

To defend it's 2018 GTD win at Rolex 24, Grasser Racing Team is back with its Lamborghini Huracan GT3. Audi, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Lexus, Mercedes, Porsche and Acura make up the GTD manufacturers' list.

A total of 3 days, split into 7 testing sessions are scheduled for the Roar before Rolex 24, with just 2 days and 5 sessions for the GTD class. Michelin Pilot Cup and Prototype Challenge will also test during the 3 days.

As for the pitlane and garage allocations for the race, Qualifying Sessions will take place for all classes. And Race for Prototype Challenge as well as Michelin Pilot Challenge's testing as support series will also take place.
